I went to Fully Booked just to look at some books, and maybe buy one if ever there was anything that caught my eye. There were a bunch of interesting books. I was mostly at the best sellers and new releases section. I saw books like Harry Potter Series, Twilight Series, Artemis Fowl Series, and a bunch of vampire books like Vampire Diaries, etc.
Then I saw this Neil Gaiman Section with a bunch of books written by him. Titles include The Graveyard Book, Coraline, Good Omen, etc. It was quite a sight. And I was actually thinking of buying The Graveyard Book. But, sad to say, I didn’t. Due to the reason that they did not have the hardbound book version. I was saddened and was looking down the rest of the Fully Booked visit. Boohoo…
But, it was not a loss. As I decided to exit the store, the person by the exit called out to me and extended his hand to me giving me a flyer. I usually don’t take flyers since I don’t want to be holding anything when I walk. But, I took it. As I looked at it, I was uplifted.
There is going to be a book signing event. The best thing is that Neil Gaiman is going to be there!
The flyer reads “Fully Booked and Neil Gaiman present Revelations: The Book Signing Event.” The event is happening 4pm March 18, 2010 at the Powerplant Mall.
I was happy… Well, until I read the mechanics. It said that I had to purchase at least Php 2,000 worth of books by Neil Gaiman (in a single reciept) in order to be entitled to a book signing pass. Sadly, I don’t have the budget… Boohoo…
Anyway, I took pictures of the flyer. If you are interested, just check it out. Have fun!

You better read the graveyard book. It’s for young-adults and Gaiman received awards last year with this book. He’s one of exceptional authors I know. Do you know that he has books for children, young-adult, and of course adult? He can switch styles in every category and project. His “Sandman” comics is very interesting (not for young readers). I’m sure you’ll like it, it suits your personality.
All in all I can say that meeting him by purchasing 2,000 worth of books are worth it.
I’ve a little of the Graveyard book via audiobook. But I want to read it! I will surely buy one when I have the budget. Hihi.
I’ll also try to get a hold of a copy of the sandman series. I’ll trust you on this one. hehe.
I do agree that 2000 is worth it. I just don’t have that much right now, sad to say.
Anyway, thanks for the comment. Please visit and comment regularly. Thanks!
