From iPhone to my|phone
I am an iPhone user… Well, until recently…
I was using an iPhone, 1st Gen. I got it when iPhones were first made available to the public. And yes, I was so happy about getting it. I was the envy of everyone around me. I was flashing it to anyone who could see it. Whenever I get the chance to bring it out, I don’t hesitate. I reach into my pocket and pull it out in a way that would certainly catch every ones attention. And although I had earphones with me, I play music using the speakers. I update my iPhone, music, and games almost everyday. Everybody I knew would always ask me about my iPhone. I was so proud.
Then came the new generations of iPhone and I was buried in the dust. I didn’t have the money to buy a new model, so i had no choice but to stick with my iPhone. But, I did not give up. I masked my iPhone’s model by dressing it up. Also, I put a lot of games on it and applications And when my friends got a hold of my iPhone, they did not ask about the model. Instead, they asked if I had new games, applications, or music. Once again I was king of the hill.
But, happiness was short-lived. My iPhone broke down. It was heating up even if I was not using it. The battery was getting drained easily. Alas, I had to retire it. Well, not entirely. I would always bring a charger with me so that I could charge it anytime. But I changed phones…
Due to the lack of money, I was constrained to a Motorola L6. I thought to myself “as long as it’s functional, can call and can text…” But then again, my phone broke down after a few months. Again, the battery was the problem. It won’t charge.
Right now, I’m borrowing my sister’s phone. A my|phone S22. It is difficult to use. It has no infrared nor a bluetooth. There are only three games. Also, I can’t put music since it doesn’t have a memory card (haven’t bought one yet). It is far different from an iPhone.
Now, I don’t bring out my phone as much as I did before. I evade phone conversations and gadgets and stuff. I just live a humble life.
Sad story… Well, beggars can’t be choosers.
