My Ice Cream Bar Experience
For dessert, We went to Rockwell, to a place called the Ice Cream Bar. This was situated at Joya St. Rockwell Center, Makati City.
It was 9:30 pm. When we got there, we were the only ones at the place. I thought that they were closing. But as we were there, people started to come. I guess the night life is alive.
The place was very bright. This complements the fact that they are a dessert place. The brightness of the place brightens the feeling of the customers and adds to the good taste of the desserts and the good company of the customers. The place was a mixture of white, Orange, and brown. One cute thing I noticed was the artwork at the corner where they displayed some works of children entered in some contest.
As for the desserts, it was a treat. It defined desserts. Achie ordered Food for the Gods, Tita Eve with Avocado Milkshake, Ankol Moore with Hot Chocolate, Meimei with Caramel Banana, and I with Chocolate Brownie.
The Chocolate Brownie tasted more brownie than chocolate. I’m not saying it as a bad thing. It was good. It did not taste overly chocolate. and complemented the vanilla ice cream.
The most delectable treat was that of the Hot Chocolate. It really was chocolate. unlike some other stores, hot chocolate was a mix that was put in water or liquid. This hot chocolate was actually chocolate put in a small cup.
I would give it an 8 over 10 since it could use a little improvement.

i like how you took those photos yourself.
its a CLEAR VIEW OF WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SHOW to us.
by the way next time you go there buy me that avocado milkshake!!! lol:))
Huhu… I want to go there… Is it expensive to eat there? How much did all of that cost? i want to try the food for the gods. Hehe! By the way, if your going to put pictures of food, you should at least put a caption of it’s name, because if I were to plan eating the same thing as the ones I see in the picture or the ones I read in your post, I should at least know what’s the name or how it looks like. I like the ambiance of the place too. It somehow invites me in. Hehe!
If I’m not mistaken, the price range is from 100-300 Php. Yes it’s a little pricey, but hey it tastes good. Although, I admit that they could adjust their prices. They miss out in the area of value for money.
Well, I didn’t bother to put captions on the pictures since it could be seen from the menu. Also, I couldn’t edit the names of the photos from my camera. Sorry if I’m not able to fulfill your request. I’ll try though.
Glad you liked it.
Try to go to the store. There are more treats. We ordered only five of a number of items on their menu. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. They also have sandwiches and other main course items on their menu.
oooooh! the place looks nice and the ice cream is enticing! yum!
Yup! The food is good too. Although, its a little pricey. Maybe its a way of saying that desserts should only be had once in a while. Hihi. Try it!
was it too sweet? How’s the based ice cream? was it creamy or too sweet like magnolia or selecta? Sorry I’m very particular with the sweetness. I want icecream that after you eat it, you’ll never ask for gallons of water.=p
@kris
they use fic products
By my taste, it’s not that sweet. I believe that the flavors blend well. In my case, the brownie tasted good when paired with the vanilla ice cream. I think that you won’t need gallons of water. Hehehe.
Oh yeah, I believe they do. I remember seeing that brand on the ice cream containers.
take us there!!!!! please
If we have the time then sure! The place isn’t far. Its just at Rockwell. Easy to get to. hihihi.
