Manny Pacquiao vs Margarito
It has been settled. Manny “PACMAN” Pacquiao will face-off against Antonio Margarito. Bob Arum has chosen Antonio Margarito, over Miguel Cotto, to fight against Manny Pacquiao. If you remember, Manny Pacquiao downed Miguel Cotto on the 12th round of their match. As such, Manny Pacquiao, the only seven division champion, has another hurdle to jump over, in the guise of Antonio Margarito.
Margarito vs Pacquiao
Margarito has the height advantage being 5”11 in height, as against Pacquiao who is only 5”6. But, it is a known fact that Pacquiao is the so-called Mexican killer, having beaten a number of Mexicans. I believe that the Pacquiao – Margarito fight will be a close fight. David beat Goliath, so maybe Pacquiao can beat Margarito. So, my money is on Pacquiao. But, it will be a hard journey for Pacquiao, being a congressman and all.
Also, the venue is still unknown. There are still unresolved issues. Margarito is still banned from Las Vegas, since the “hard tape” incident. Although, there are steps being done to secure a temporary pass for Margarito.

Could well be fight of the year, so far Pacquiao has shown he has never been afraid to stand toe to toe with every fighter he has faced.
Could he do this with a man of Margaritto stature.
That alone will be something to behold, small 5’6 guy fighting a 5’11 guy outweighing him by over a stone but the little guy is not just out boxing him he overpowering him, standing there and trading and making Marg take the backward steps and folding under the pressure.
Pacquiao is too goo for his own good, if Juan Diaz said he was going to take on Margaritto people would say it was a mammoth task and Diaz could well take a beating. This is the same Diaz who the same people say Pacquiao ducked.
This is going to be Pacquiao toughest fight and the Pacquiao vs Margarito could be FOTY
I agree that this will be a good fight. If Pacquiao wins, then his status would rise even greater as he is fighting against disadvantages.
On another point, people are saying that Pacquiao – Marquez rematch would be a better fight to watch… I’m not exactly sure why they say so…

Tiger and Elin are now divorced after all the drama. Oh well, that must be better than being unhappy every day. Hopefully he’ll be able to focus on golfing once again following this.
If I can say it in here, a lot of the discussion about Tiger Woods will be rendered academic now that his divorce, which we weren’t told about, is over and done with and he can continue with what he does best – playing golf. Go Tiger!
I do hope that he divorce doesn’t affect him psychologically…

On a different note, the Pacquiao v. Margarito fight was quite good. Although there were no KO’s, the fight was fought with technique. I’m looking forward to more Pacquiao Fights…
