May 2010 Presidential Elections | Another Noynoy Aquino Connected Scandal
I received a text message a few days ago. It has the subject of the 2010 May Presidential Elections. More specifically, the message is connected with the May 2010 Presidential Elections Candidate Benigno Servillano “Noynoy” Aquino, Jr. The text message is as follows:
“ABSCBN May 9 SKED:
11:45 ASAP XV Special Live from Ninoy Aquino Stadium and Edsa Shrine.
3:00 pm The Buzz Special Live frm EDSA
5:00 pm The Ninoy and Cory Story
7:pm A Dangerous Life
10:30 MYX Presents: The Music Videos of Noy2 Aquino
Let us teach ABS-CBN a lesson. The Filipinos want unbiased reporting. Comelec what are you doing? Takot din kayo sa ABSCBN? Gaby Lopez is an american citizen he doesn’t even vote here. Do you really own abscbn or do the aquinos own it? Pls pass so the people may know how they continue to manipulate us.”
If this message is true, then I totally agree with the sender. The sentiment of the maker of the message is real. The message is not a direct propaganda against Noynoy Aquino or his campaign for his Presidency, but a propaganda against bias in reporting. The ABS-CBN schedule for the day before the May 2010 Presidential Elections contain Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Edsa, Ninoy and Cory, and Noy2 Aquino, as stated above. The abscbn station schedule does lean toward the camp of Noynoy Aquino. This effect could be interpreted as a big scandal. Come on Comelec, act up! Look at the scandals that are happening before your eyes! If this does not show bias then I don’t know what does.
I am not against the candidacy of Noynoy, I’m just alarmed by the way that the campaign is going, like the instance stated above. If the message is indeed true, then the person responsible should be penalized. This truly is a scandal, in addition to the other scandals. It is a transgression of the rules and of the ethics of elections. Play fair.
Is this true? I hope not…
