Philippine elections Canvassing Results…
The first Philippine Automated Elections are nearing its end. The Canvassing results shall be out in a while. The target for the completion of the first Philippine Automated Elections Canvassing Results is before dawn of the next day, which is May 11, 2010.
My take on the Election? I believe that it is kind of nearing success. Maybe a 7 or 8 on a 10 point scale. There are a lot of people who didn’t get to vote. A lot of PCOS machines have broken down. Although, I must admit that the transmission of votes are quite speedy. But still, even one vote is important. And those people who did not get the chance to voice out their choice are important in every respect.
As of now, Noynoy Aquino is leading the presidential race in the First Philippine Automated Elections by more than 3 million votes. I guess, the surveys really affected the choices of the people. The results kind of reflect the trend set by the surveys in the past few weeks.
On a different note, Estrada who was looked upon as a candidate who did not have that much support is following second with a strong less than 6 million votes.
On the Vice-Presidential race, Jejomar Binay is on the top spot with a lead of less than 1 million votes, while Mar Roxas is following second.
Of course, these are not yet the official canvassing results.
