TV | Spartacus: Blood and Sand, in the house of Batiatus
I’ve been watching this new show called Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Its quite interesting since it’s a new take on the story of Gladiators.
The story of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” revolves around Spartacus, a Thracian. At first, he was a leader in Thrace who allied with Rome in order to fight a common enemy. As the war wages on, there came a time where the Legatus of Rome decided to attack the main camp of the enemy. But, the downside was that they would have to abandon the town of Spartacus, where Spartacus‘ wife, Sura, was in. Spartacus decided to go against the wishes of the Legatus, and even ended up assaulting the Legatus himself. As he went to their town, true enough the enemies where there ravaging his town. Atleast, he got to save his wife. But, as the day ends, he was apprehended by the Romans and sentenced to death.
As he was about to be killed in the arena by 4 gladiators, he bested them and lived. As such, he was purchased by Batiatus, an owner of a Gladiator guild, if you could call it that. As such, he was made a gladiator.
As the story goes on, he learns that his wife has become a slave. Batiatus uses this to his advantage as he told Spartacus that he would help look for Sura if Spartacus would help Batiatus win some gold. And the story goes on.
Well, if you like the Roman style shows, some striking lines, a show of flesh, and a lot of blood coupled with Sand, then this show is for you.

i would not have assumed this had been great a handful of years in the past nevertheless its surprising just how years evolves the way you see varying creative ideas, thanks for the write-up it’s pleasing to browse anything sensible occasionally in lieu of the routine crap mascarading as blogs on the internet, cheers
Thanks! I’ll try to keep it up.
Hey, there’s a new episode for Spartacus. Episode 7 just got out. I’ll leave an update when I’ve watched it.
Watched Episode 7. I was quite happy with it. It was the first time that I really appreciated Spartacus’ win. His past wins were more of luck than skill.
Well, the episode contained Spartacus’ choice of becoming a full gladiator and to leave his life to the gods. It was the turning point in his life. As such, he accepted being a Roman and left his Thracian ways.
lol one or two of the opinions many people make are such stoner remarks, many a time i think about whether they really read the documents and threads before leaving a comment or if perhaps they just look at the title of the blog post and generate the very first thought that pops into their brain. anyways, it is really enjoyable to look over intelligent commentary once in a while instead of the very same, outdated oppinion vomit which i usually observe on the internet i’m going to have fun with a smattering of rounds of zynga poker have a pleasant day
I agree. But, I was wondering, what does poker have to do with Spartacus? hehe.
