Just saw the movie Kick-ass. It totally made me want to go out and be a hero, or just KICK-ASS. Made me want to correct some wrongs, being an average guy myself, like the hero in the movie.

The movie is about a nobody becoming somebody, an average comic book geek that aspires to be a hero. In Kick-Ass, he actually goes and fulfills his dream of becoming a superhero, but none of that super power stuff, just a normal guy who puts on a costume and goes around to do some good deed.

Dave, the leading character, creates costume and encounters two bad guys trying to hijack a car as his first hero encounter. He faced these two guys, got stabbed and bumped by a car so hard which made him undergo an operation. The operation put metal plates in him and dulled his nerve endings. As such he has a higher tolerance for pain. And no, he didn’t get metal wings on his back or claws that come out of his knuckles, although Wolverine was mentioned in the movie. From then on, he continued to do good stuff and was even posted on the internet when a video was taken of him as he was defending a man from three bad guys.

The start kind o got me very interested since it really was an ordinary guy trying to be a superhero. Towards the end, he gets in touch with Big Daddy and Hit Girl which somehow puts the usual superhero stuff into the movie with all their special moves and equipments. It really is a fun movie.

It’s not the usual “comic book superhero turned movie” movie, it’s actually the opposite since in the movie Kick-ass first becomes a hero before having a comic book of him out. I recommend this movie. It’s not a kid movie though since KICK-ASS borders on the adult side with the violence and stuff like that.

Watch Kick-Ass and see Kick-ass Kick some ass. I forgot to mention, the hero is named as Kick-ass, hence the title of the movie.
